I love going to a college where each dorm has a prayer room.. I especially love the Beets-Veenstra prayer room. 

I paged through the prayer journal a bit, reading excerpts from residents over the year.

So many shared common themes of loneliness and distress and spiritual dryness. 

I don’t know what to do with it - how should these things get expressed in daily life? Clearly writing them down in the prayer journal where they might get noticed months, or years after the fact? It’s hard for me to read someones recent history/struggle without being able to contribute, to say “I will help you!” or “I will pray for you.”

But of course, it’s in the prayer journal. So He heard it. He knew. He’s where I can’t be, he heard in time, what I didn’t.
